The purpose of Wyandotte Community Theatre is and has always been to stimulate interest in theater by periodic presentation of stage productions, to provide dramatic and technical theater experience for and by its members, and to encourage and provide educational, recreational, and cultural activities.

We were established in 1953 and are very proud of our legacy of providing quality, family entertainment to our local community. Although we have never had a permanent "home" in Wyandotte, we have performed at various locations in the city. Most recently we have held our performances at Wilson Middle School.

We are proud of our membership and consider them to be an extended "family". We all share a love of theatre and performing and greatly enjoy all the hard work that goes into a production. We welcome any and all to join our membership and respect, honor, value, but mostly enjoy, the differences in our members.

Being a member of Wyandotte Community Theatre does not mean you have to perform on stage, many of our members never appear on stage. They choose to apply their talents in the "backstage" and "behind the scenes" areas where they are needed most. These people are truly valued members.
